The Nangang Exhibition Center is twice the size of the exhibition space on the first floor of the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Building. The roof span of the upper exhibition hall is as long as 186 meters, and there are no pillars in the whole area. In addition to exhibitions, it can also be used as a multi-functional indoor sports and large-scale performance venue. The building on the west side of the exhibition hall is planned to be a diversified service space such as office, conference, catering and shops; the east side is mainly a space for mechanical and electrical facilities. Structural concept: Each row of trusses is arranged in a truss shape (H=6m) according to the bending moment behavior of the force. A hinge node with zero bending moment. Each set of trusses combines the mechanical behavior of arches and slings for both economical and aesthetic features. The large-span truss is the main structure, which makes the whole exhibition hall feel spacious and spacious, and it is also the first record of column-free space in a large exhibition hall in Taiwan.
