Weiwuying National Art and Culture Center is a public cultural building that has just been built in our country. It is located in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City, adjacent to Weiwuying Metropolitan Park. The building covers 4 important art performance spaces, the Grand Theater, the Concert Hall, the Recital Hall, the Chinese Theater, and an open-air theater. Now let's talk about the story of architecture, Ms. Francine, the chief architect of Mecanoo in the Netherlands, her design was inspired by the ecological image of the old banyan tree living in groups. The old banyan trees living in groups have tangled branches and intertwined roots. Light and shadow create a mutual reflection between the virtual and the real from the gaps between the trees, which stimulates the organic shape of the penetrating, dynamic and streamlined buildings of Weiwuying. The design of the building is to use the upper and lower skins of two huge free-form surfaces to wrap six large spaces with different building functions. Each space is cylindrical and has its own function and mechanical requirements. The public floor plan connects to form the building's top lobby and cloister.
